About 100,000 hikers visited the nature reserves and national parks on Saturday

After the stormy weather that caused many floods and floods, the sun that came out today brought with it about 100,000 hikers who visited the nature reserves and national parks. Prominent sites included the Banias Nature Reserve, Ein Afek and Nahal Eyun, the Caesarea, Masada and Yarkon National Parks.

Among the prominent activities that took place on Saturday were the mud walk in the Yarkon National Park with a variety of activities and an experiential walk in the mud and new activities in the antiquities in the Beit Guvrin National Park with colorful figures between the caves and demonstrations of ancient crafts from the past.

Another notable site was the Megiddo National Park where visitors were given a special glimpse into the ancient water plant that was filled with large amounts of water thanks to recent rains that have rarely been observed for decades.

Meanwhile, the Nature and Parks Authority is preparing to mark the International Day for the Conservation of Aquatic Habitats, which will be celebrated around the world next Saturday and aims to raise awareness and the importance of preserving these habitats with their variety of flora and fauna. As part of this day, there will be a variety of activities in the reserves and national parks for the whole family.
