In preparation for hosting the competition in the city: Miss Universe came to visit Eilat

In preparation for hosting the Miss Universe International pageant next month (12.12.21) in Eilat, last week the current Miss Universe – Andrea Mesa, visited Israel and signed her visit to the city of Eilat. During the visit, she toured with the mayor – Eli Lankri in the bird park, swam in the Gulf of Eilat, rode in the desert, wiped chickpeas and finished with a vegan meal at a local restaurant.

Andrea Mesa (27) from Chihuahua City, represented her home country – Mexico, at the 69th Miss Universe pageant held in May 2021. As the third Mexican woman to win the Miss Universe title, Andrea holds a degree in software engineering and is an activist focusing on women’s rights. She is currently working closely with the Municipal Institute of Women in Mexico, which aims to end gender-based violence. She is also a certified makeup artist and model with a passion for being active and living a healthy and enthusiastic lifestyle to be vegan. As an entrepreneur of a close-knit sportswear line and with a passion for extreme sports, Andrea has managed to work on this love in her official role as Ambassador of the tourism brand of her hometown, Chihuahua, to promote the best tourist attractions and rich culture offered by her diverse country.

During her visit to Eilat (Friday), Andrea visited the bird park that works to preserve the bird migration route, a project that recently won one of the most important in the world for the preservation of biological diversity. In the park, Andrea received a review from Noam Weiss, who manages the park, and together with the mayor, they performed a drowning and flowered a bird. During the visit, Andrea went on a cruise between the borders of the Gulf of Eilat, which is one of the most beautiful bays in the world. After that, she went on a razor ride in the desert (Stalactite River). In between, hummus was wiped as Israel’s national dish, visited the city’s hotels (Herods, Queen of Sheba, Royal Beach and Dan Eilat) and finished with a vegan meal at the Pastori restaurant.

Andrea was accompanied by the staff of the Municipal Tourism Corporation.
