Menorah on wheels: Magen David Adom's holiday spirit project around the country

Rabbi Yonatan Spitzer, ambulance driver and paramedic in emergency medicine"Last year, he initiated a special project in view of the corona crisis – in which he traveled around the country with an ambulance-menorah and made the holiday spirit accessible. This year, Spitzer decided to upgrade the project – Wandering with a Meter Menorah"A. Across the country, with motorcycles, ATVs and surveyors by his side"A. which will spread the holiday spirit to passers-by. Last night, the project was launched in Be’er Sheva, and during the holidays, Spitzer and the traveling menorah will arrive at other destinations in the country.

As part of the project, a giant menorah will be attached to Med’s ambulance trailer"A – Spitzer will drive him to various centers around the country, with volunteers and employees of Med"A mounted on additional tools, in order to bring the holiday spirit to the general public. In addition to being a paramedic and ambulance driver, Spitzer runs Beit Hab"D in the meter"A., coordinates the activities in the organization and practices organizing and distributing rations to employees on Purim, matzah on Passover and more. In Sukkot he created a sukkah on wheels which was towed by"Ambulance and with its help spread the spirit of Sukkot at the various Magen David Adom stations throughout the country.
