9.1% of all job seekers registered during the month of October were people with disabilities

On the occasion of the International Day for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, which took place tomorrow, the Employment Service is publishing this morning (Thursday) the number of job seekers with disabilities. The data show that during the month of October, 25,402 jobseekers with disabilities were registered in the employment service. Among all job seekers, people with disabilities accounted for 9.1%, but among job seekers who claimed income support, their rate rose to 20.1%, more than two times. For comparison, only 6.5% of those staying in the room"A and unemployment claimants were people with disabilities whereas among unemployment claimants who are not in exile"A. People with disabilities accounted for only 5.9%.

Regarding gender differences, especially among parents of dependent children – their rate is higher among men than among women, but the distribution by parenthood shows that the source of the differences is among parents of dependent children. While job seekers with disabilities accounted for 6% among mothers of dependent children, job seekers with disabilities accounted for 10.1% among fathers of dependent children.

It further shows that the older one gets, the higher the proportion of people with disabilities among job seekers: their rate among older job seekers was as high as 8 of their rate among young job seekers. The more immune the group, the lower the rate of job seekers with disabilities: the rate of job seekers with disabilities in the lower clusters (1-3) was 4 times higher than their rate among the higher clusters (8-10) and 1.5 per cent in the middle clusters (4-7). .
