Miss Universe 2021 in Eilat: The representative of India won the coveted title

The 21-year-old Hernaz Sandhu from India won the Miss Universe pageant for 2021, the first pageant held in Eilat and Israel in general. Sandhu’s coronation ceremony took place after three hours of ceremony, and the person who handed her the crown was Miss Universe for 2020, Andrea from the Mexican.

Sandhu lives in Chandigarh in northern India, plays the game and has a master’s degree in public administration.

The delegations that qualified for the top ten are: the Philippines, Colombia, France, Aruba, the Bahamas, the United States, India, South Africa, Puerto Rico and Paraguay.

The winner was asked how she would advise teens to deal with the pressure placed on them, and answered: "The biggest challenge facing boys and girls nowadays is believing in themselves. They need to know that they are exceptional and that is what makes them beautiful. Stop comparing yourself to others and start addressing serious issues that are happening around the world. Do not be afraid to make your voice heard, as you are the leaders of your life. I believe in myself and that’s why I’m standing here today".

The winner addressed the issue of the climate crisis: "My heart breaks when I see what happens to nature and everything is caused as a result of our irresponsibility. I feel it’s time to stop talking and start acting. Any action of ours may save or destroy nature and we must prevent further destruction and preserve the existing one. This is what I’m trying to persuade you to do today".

The Israeli representative, beauty queen Noa Kochba, qualified for the last 16 contestants’ stages and then finished her way in the competition. Earlier, Kochba, who fainted during the general rehearsal and needed medical treatment, but as stated, stood her ground and participated in the competition.
