Area: Drivers stuck with their vehicle in floods rescued by Friends

A call was received today (Tuesday) at the “Friends” organization hotline about civilians trapped in their vehicles in floods on Farmers Street in the area. Lior Levy, head of volunteers in Bat Yam Holon, her brother Arad, commander of the Kfir unit, and Judy Bonen, drivers of the jeep unit. They hurried to the scene and rescued the trapped quickly and safely.

Lior tells: "We got the call about a number trapped in a vehicle in floods in the area. We hurried to the scene and with the help of the jeeps and the dedicated equipment for such cases, we rescued the trapped and after the arrival of the emergency forces, we completed the rescue of the vehicles from the flood. A special sense of mission, to come out in this storm and save people’s lives".

Friends call on drivers to avoid non-essential travel in extreme weather.
