Safed: A fire broke out in a house in the Old City, no casualties were reported

A short time ago (Friday), a report was received at the command and control center in the Northern District, about a man trying to set himself on fire in a building in the Old City of Safed. Three firefighters from the Galil-Golan station under the command of shift commander Reshef Shlomi Ben Abu rushed to the scene.

Crews at the scene identified a pile of papers that the tenant had set on fire and that the house was shrouded in smoke and carried out firefighting operations at the fire and searched for trapped people. The tenant left the house before the fire brigade arrived. The incident was attended by a light-duty fire truck of the type "Ranger", Stationed at the Safed station in order to respond to events in the crowded alleys of the Old City of Safed. There were no casualties but damage was done to the structure.
