After being forced to wait in line: A resident of Tirat Carmel was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a doctor at a health fund in the city

The police opened an investigation this morning (Sunday) upon receiving a report of a doctor attacking a health fund in Tirat Carmel. The investigation shows that the suspect, a 32-year-old resident of Tirat Carmel, came to the HMO for medical treatment and after having to wait in line, entered the doctor’s room, behaved wildly, pushed the computer screen that was on the doctor’s desk and hit him. The doctor was not injured and did not need medical treatment.

Meanwhile, the police of the Tirat Carmel station arrested the suspect for questioning at the police station in the city, and in accordance with the development of the investigation, it will be decided whether to request an extension of the suspect’s detention tomorrow at the Magistrate’s Court in Haifa.

The police said: "The Israel Police will continue to act against improper and serious violence against public employees and will work to bring those involved to justice."
