ABC Network reported recently (Mot"Q) That the suspect holding four people hostage in a synagogue in Texas is of Pakistani descent. The hostages held are the rabbi and three others. The suspect is demanding the release of his sister, a Pakistani scientist and a well-known terrorist imprisoned at the Creswell Air Force Base near Fort Worth, who was convicted of attempting to murder an FBI agent and a soldier and sentenced to 86 years in prison.
Foreign Minister Yair Lapid spoke with Libya Link, the Israeli consul in Houston, who is on her way to the scene of the incident, and received an update on what is happening on the ground: "We are closely monitoring the situation of the hostages and are in close contact with the American law enforcement agencies", said.
