Defense Minister Bnei Gantz today (Thursday) made a joint statement with the Greek Minister of Defense, Nicholas Pangiotopoulos, in the Kirya in Tel Aviv: "Israel’s commitment to security cooperation with Greece is based on common interests and values - we will continue to deepen and expand them, in any scenario, and under any development in the region. There is great potential to expand Israel’s cooperation with its old and new friends in the region in the fields of energy, innovation and also security. We will continue to act in this spirit and strengthen the tripartite framework between Israel, Greece and Cyprus."

Defense Minister Ganz also referred to the negotiations on the Iranian nuclear agreement and aggression, saying: "While Iranian officials are negotiating suits in Vienna, their envoys in the Middle East are stepping up their aggression in the region, as we saw last week in the UAE terror attack. Iran’s double game must be on the negotiating table in Vienna. And any international effort to reach an agreement must also take into account Iran’s regional aggression."
