"The roof is open and the cold melts in the heart": Indie band Jane Bordeaux has released a new single

After “Hard Woman” and “Children Love Poetry”, Doron Talmon from Jane Bordeaux wrote “T-shirt” about her days as a girl in the Golan Heights from a perspective of time and distance and this is how she describes: “The days of the last closure, And all around me everything disappears and the bar appears in Merom Golan on a snowy night. I ask when he will continue to play and I start going back for more and more moments from there, an old bus stop that was the center of the world, fields in the sun, loves of winter, when he plays and I sing them to myself. Embroidered memories in a T-shirt whose color has already faded. A time when from a distance of time it seems that my biggest concern was getting on the bus on time .. ”

Omar Aloni (who is also responsible for the band’s previous clips – “Hard Woman” and “Children Love Poetry”) directed the current clip in the atmosphere of today’s Doron meetings with her private memories from the past.

Words:

Not far from here
There must have stopped time
At the kibbutz bar with the girls
Outside everything was white
Inside a ball of smoke lights
We danced in front of examining eyes

We sat then at a bus stop coming once a year
The roof is open and the cold melts in the heart
Shyly we talked a little
Of all the laughs we did not care
The axis of the earth revolves around us

The same old t-shirt
Her name is Ruby
You tell me you’re as beautiful as ever
All the scratches we collected in our hearts
The Earth’s axis is still rotating

And when summer comes golden, with it also a desire to love
We sat on the water a bunch
On the pier like flowers
Full of bikinis in colors waiting for the cool breeze

We sat then at a bus stop coming once a year
The roof is open and the heat is hot in the heart
Shyly we talked a little
Of all the laughs we did not care
The axis of the earth revolves around us

The same old T-shirt
Her name is Ruby
You tell me you’re as beautiful as ever
All the scratches we collected in our hearts
The Earth’s axis is still rotating

We stayed there until the end of the day
Every inhalation lit a red light between us
The roof is open
The lips are shaking
Waiting at the bus station comes once a year
That he will not come I do not mind waiting

The same old t-shirt
Her name is Ruby
You tell me you’re as beautiful as ever
All the scratches we collected in our hearts
The Earth’s axis is still rotating
The Earth’s axis is still rotating
