A fire broke out last night (Friday) in a residential apartment on Shamai Street in the 7th district of the city of Ashdod, when there was a fear of being trapped. Four city station fire and rescue crews were called to the scene and on arrival saw the flames coming out of an apartment on the third floor of the residential building.

The shift commander, Rabbi Reshef Gabi Azulai, divided the force into sections, with a team going out to scan and rescue and another team to put out the scan and release the smoke. The tenants were also informed to lock themselves in their apartment and not to go out until instructed by the event commander.

After arriving at the call center and searching for trapped people, it was learned that the girl was the one who noticed the fire and woke up the father of the family, who escaped the rest of the house and prevented a heavy disaster since it was a family with children. The incident ended without any casualties. A fire and rescue fire investigator for Israel was invited to investigate the outbreak of the fire.

The fire brigade said: “Fire and rescue services to Israel repeatedly say that installing a smoke detector is a lifesaver.”
