A call was received today (Friday) at the center of the “Friends” organization, about a toddler who was accidentally locked in a car in front of her father, on Yaakov Cohen Street in Rishon Lezion. Eliran and Tari, the manager of the Rehovot branch, and Almog Leon, a volunteer at the local branch, responded to the call and, using the equipment in their possession, rescued the toddler safely, without causing any damage to the vehicle.
Almog says: “I live on the parallel street. I saw the call and hurried to the place. Seat Ibiza vehicle, with vacuum lock. We had to get to the key, which was under the bag, on the seat. I moved the bag and reached the key. This is not my first time rescuing a locked vehicle but a great satisfaction. Dad thanked me. All in all, I came to help. “
In ‘Friends’, parents are repeatedly called upon to carry the car key and not give it to the children.
