The kidnapping in Brazil: the location of the kidnappers is true, the businessman Moshe Bandek has been released

Yesterday (Thursday) in the afternoon (Brazil time), an Israeli citizen, Moshe Bendak, a resident of Yad Binyamin in the Nahal Sorek Regional Council in Sao Paulo, Brazil, was apparently kidnapped by local criminals.

Since the early hours of the morning, the Israeli consulate in Sao Paulo, together with the department for Israelis abroad, has been in contact with the family and the Brazilian authorities in order to help and promote his release.

In a quick operation by the Brazilian police, the citizen was released from the hands of the kidnappers after his location was confirmed. The Brazilian police, the family and elements in the Jewish community were constantly in contact with the Consulate General in Sao Paulo, with the Consul General, Rafi Erdreich, the Consul Abiel Avraham and the Israel Police Attaché, Mr. Moshe Turgeman, in order to assist the release process.

The Nahal Sorak council said: "After a particularly tense half day and thanks to many good people, Moshe Bandek, a resident of Yad Binyamin in Nahal Sorek Regional Council who was kidnapped early this morning in Brazil, was released a short time ago. Moshe is currently at the police station in Brazil and also spoke briefly with his wife. We would like to thank the people of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Magnes Company, the Israel Police and all the private individuals who responded to our call and provided assistance in many areas until we reached this long-awaited moment. And a special thank you to you residents for the many prayers and the warm hugs you gave the family."
