An indictment will be filed against the suspects of importing parts of weapons removed from protest toys"To

The policemen of the 433 Blahav Challenge Unit started an undercover investigation about a month ago, upon receiving a report for suspicion of smuggling parts of weapons, when they were disposed of inside toys sent from Mara"b and arrived in packages addressed to the residents of East Jerusalem.

From the investigation it emerged that in one of the packages on which it was written that it contained bicycle parts (fork and handlebar), it was found in the mirror that inside the fork were located 4 barrels of weapons and 2 assemblies. It is also found in the reflection that inside the handlebar there are two canes, which are connected as the grip handles of the handlebar.

An investigation by Etgar unit officers led to the discovery of eight additional packages that contained weapon parts (stands and assemblies), parts that can be used for weapons as well as dangerous toys (airsoft) and it was found that the packages were also sent from China.

The investigation was conducted in the Etgar unit, together with unit 33 (the Gideons) from Lahab 433, in the"F with the customs authorities and foreign enforcement agencies and in cooperation with the department for operational coordination of the intelligence division, accompanied by the central district attorney’s office.

On November 22, 2022, and with the investigation becoming public, the three suspects, residents of East Jerusalem, were arrested as mentioned and they were brought to the Etgar unit for questioning. Last Thursday, a prosecutor’s statement was submitted against one of the suspects regarding the intention of the prosecutor’s office to file an indictment against him and a request for arrest in the coming days. The investigation into the other suspects continues.
