A wall collapsed in a four-story building in Holon, the tenants were evacuated

A concrete wall collapsed today (Tuesday) inside a building on Pinchas Lavon Street in Holon. At 5:28 p.m. several reports were received at the 102nd Command of the Dan district about the incident, a fire team was called to the scene.

The fire team, under the command of the shift commander Rav Reshef Oshri Basson, arrived at the scene and noticed foundry work on the fourth floor, in a four-story building and with it a collapsed wall inside the building along with a floor electrical cabinet.

After examining the case together with the city engineer and considering that the wall is unstable, the shift commander ordered the evacuation of the tenants from the building until a thorough examination by the city engineer and the correction of the defects if necessary.

On the spot, police set up roadblocks on the relevant floor and at this point it is unknown when the tenants will be returned to the building. The energy sources on site (gas and electricity) were cut off from the building. Citizens are asked to avoid approaching the building until the engineer’s decision is received.
