exercise "Eastern wind": The air forces of Israel and France in cooperation in the skies of Israel

international exercise "Eastern breeze” ("Eastern wind") ended today (Tuesday) in which the Israeli and French air forces practiced air cooperation in the skies of the State of Israel. Four “Raphael” fighter jets of the French Air Force participated in the exercise in cooperation with fighter jets of the type "storm" (F16i) squadron "the one" (201).

As part of the exercise, the French aircraft carrier arrived "Charles de Gaulle” with four planes on it "Raphael". The Israeli air crews flew "shoulder to shoulder" with the French teams and practiced together facing air threats and attacking targets with the aim of learning, sharing and maintaining mutual enrichment. The training was an important milestone in the strengthening of the international strategic cooperation between the IDF"to the French army and contributed to the readiness of the forces. This exercise is part of a series of international exercises and collaborations that have been taking place lately according to a regular training plan for 2022.

From the words of Ramon Base Commander, Lt. Col. III: "This week there was a joint training with the French Air Force, Matusi "storm" Israelis and planes "Raphael" French. Together we held a high-quality and challenging training, which combines several elements, which will improve the competence of both sides and strengthen the relations between the countries and the armies".
