53-year-old Amir Gaber was appointed as deputy general manager"to and deputy"Senior Operations Officer at Astroscale Israel, the market leader in satellite service and long-term orbital sustainability.
The new position includes management of the development plan and the construction of the mated (dedicated cargo) to extend the life of communication satellites, and the management of the company’s day-to-day operations.
Geber has a bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronics engineering from Tel Aviv University and an MBA in business administration from Ben Gurion University of the Negev. He is a graduate of the directors and senior officers program at Tel Aviv University.
He also has over 20 years of experience in global companies and start-up companies in Israeli high-tech, in the field of wireless communication and space. In the last five years he held the position of vice president"for space programs at Astroscale and Effective Space before its acquisition by Astroscale. He also held positions in product management, marketing and project management, among others in the companies: Ha’al Communication, where he managed the Amos-6 and Amos-17 satellite programs and Gilat Satellite Networks, where he served as product management director.
