The Minister of Defense, Yoav Galant, toured the IDF’s land arm today (Tuesday), together with the Deputy Chief of Staff, Major General Amir Baram.
Defense Minister Yoav Galant said: “The tour that I had today in the land arm allowed me to get a close impression of the capabilities and the means that the land units use to deal with the various scenarios. Together with the Deputy Chief of Staff Major General Amir Baram and the commander of the wing Major General Tamir Yedai, I spoke with the senior ground commanders about maintaining lethality and the qualitative advantage in the face of the enemy, about the practice of the rapid transition from routine to emergency and the continued strengthening that will ensure our superiority in the face of any threat.”
“In the conversation with the commanders, I emphasized the importance I attach to the training of the future generation of soldiers and officers. Out of commitment to the principle that IDF fighters are irreplaceable, I promised the officers that we will provide the units with the best means and conditions that will enable them to succeed in their mission. I also returned from this tour knowing that we have excellent commanders and fighters, who are determined and committed to the security of the State of Israel.” added
