Following reports that reached the Tel Aviv District Health Office last Friday, about the intestinal illness of nine people after eating at a restaurant "Topolopompo"professional officials launched an epidemiological investigation to find out the details of the incident in order to test a connection between the cases.
Two pregnant women are now hospitalized in Ichilov Hospital after eating at a restaurant. From a laboratory test, a salmonella bacterium was detected in one of the hospitalized women.
Inspectors from the Department of Environmental Health in the Tel Aviv District of the Ministry of Health conducted an inspection of the restaurant "Topolopompo" and took food samples.
At this point, the restaurant was closed by agreement until the defects are corrected and the Ministry of Health continues with the epidemiological investigation.
