Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah gave a speech this evening (Thursday) to mark the 23rd anniversary of the IDF’s departure from Lebanon and responded to the warning of the head of the Security Council, Major General Aharon Haliva, who said that “Nasrallah is close to making a mistake that will degenerate the region into a major war.”

Nasrallah said: “You are not the ones threatening us with a big war, but we are threatening you. This war will include all borders with hundreds of thousands of quality resistance fighters. Our deterrence is increasing, compared to the erosion of Israeli deterrence as was the case in the last round in Gaza.”

Nasrallah added that “the enemy must be afraid, pay attention and not make a mistake or make any mistake that could lead to a big war. The Israelis failed to strengthen their deterrence and realized that they would pay the price for any action they took. What happens within the Zionist entity has a direct impact on Lebanon’s security. There is no more “great and powerful Israel”, after the war in 2006 in Lebanon and this in 2008 with the Gaza Strip.

According to him, “the Israeli rear is very weak and the Israelis are ready to flee.” I want to warn the Israeli who threatened a few days ago about a big war, little by little. We have superiority over the enemy. If he wants to start a big war – then all the borders will be opened, not as happened in the past.”

He noted that “the one who needs to fear a big war is Israel. I want to say to the Prime Minister and the Chief of Staff – you must be careful and not make mistakes in your assessments.”
