A 70-year-old man collapsed today (Thursday) in a synagogue on Rabbi Yehoshua Street in Beit Shemesh. The MDA ‘Rescue Team’ volunteers, along with MDA medics and paramedics, gave him medical treatment and performed CPR on him, which eventually had to be pronounced dead.

“Rescue Team” volunteers Elikim Shisha and Shmuel Arieli, who were the first to arrive at the scene, add: “When we arrived at the scene, we saw a 70-year-old man lying on the floor, without a pulse and not breathing after collapsing, along with “Rescue Team” paramedic Nati Ben Shimon and other MDA and Rescue Team medics We immediately began to perform advanced resuscitation operations on him, which include giving electric shocks from the defibrillator we have, heart and soul massages, and giving life-saving drugs. Regrettably, after prolonged resuscitation attempts, the paramedics had to pronounce him dead on the spot.”
