The traffic examiners of the Shefala region began a short time ago (Tuesday) investigating the circumstances of a fatal car accident in the east of Rishon Lezion involving a private vehicle that overturned on the spot. According to medical sources, Assaf Harofeh, the driver of the car in his eighties, was evacuated from the scene to the medical center. He was pronounced dead at the hospital. Traffic examiners of the Israel Police arrived at the scene and collected findings, as part of the investigation into the circumstances of the accident.
Sally Yehud, a medic and Ihud Hatzla ambulance driver, said: “This is a vehicle that overturned and as a result the driver was killed due to the nature of the severe injuries he suffered. We also provided assistance at the scene, and I evacuated two more women who were rescued from the vehicle in an Ihud Salva ambulance to the hospital in a minor condition.”
