As part of the force-building effort for the continuation of the fighting, the director general of the Ministry of Defense, Major General (Ret.) Eyal Zamir, visited the Chariot factory at the 7,000 Rehabilitation and Maintenance Center of the Technology and Logistics Division and the MNT in Tel Hashomer.
Zamir held a situation assessment regarding the delivery rate of dozens of Merkava tanks, new anti-tank weapons and ICT and observation systems to the IDF, along with the restoration of tools and means that were damaged in the first days of the war.
The director general of the Ministry of Defense thanked the workers of the factories and told them: “The tanks attacking the enemy in Gaza will move to the places that the engine, treated here, will take them. We shoot shells and kill the enemy through the sights you created and save the lives of the fighters using the shielding developed by NTAK engineers. A large part of the damaged tools have already returned to combat thanks to you. You are full partners in the war effort, which will end in defeating the enemy in his territory. It will be a long war. We still have complex moments, but the entire nation is united under the common goal and I am confident in the strength of the IDF forever.”
The head of the Land Technology Division, Brigadier General Rami Abudraham, the head of the National Security and Defense Directorate, Brigadier General Oren Giber, the Chairman of the IDF Employees’ Organization, Meir Ben Harosh, the Vice President and Head of the Planning Division at the Ministry of Defense, Itamar Graf, and other senior officials participated in the visit. .
