The criminal attorney’s office in the southern district today submitted to the district court in Beer Sheva an indictment and a request for detention until the end of the legal proceedings against 24-year-old Haim Engda from Ashkelon after he shot his friend to death. The indictment filed by the lawyer Chen Asis-Lavi states that at the beginning of last month, in the afternoon, Angada walked with his friend through the streets of Ashkelon towards his mother’s house. During their march, they reached the alley where the deceased was, when Angada noticed the deceased, he put a face covering on his face, and approached the deceased with his friend, who pushed him. Angada responded, pushed the deceased back, took out the gun he was carrying and fired one shot into his head.
After the incident, Angda and his friend fled the scene and left the city, while escaping Angda burned the hat and shirt he was wearing. In the request for detention until the end of the proceedings that was submitted at the same time, Attorney Assis – Lavi stated that: “From the behavior of the respondent who, for a reason unknown to the accuser, murdered his best friend, with one shot to the head, in broad daylight in a residential neighborhood in the city of Ashkelon.” Ande was charged with murder, carrying and transporting a weapon and destroying evidence.
