The fighters of the 188th brigade’s combat team took over several key targets of the ‘Zayytun’ battalion, including the office of the commander of the Gaza brigade and the battalion’s central headquarters. The forces searched the area, located many weapons and at the end of the searches they destroyed the office of the brigade commander. In addition, the forces directed an air strike in the area of ​​the Zeyton neighborhood and led to the elimination of terrorists. In recent days, the forces located a laboratory for the production of rockets, many weapons, explosives and explosives, a tunnel shaft, a large amount of explosives and also an unmanned aerial vehicle inside a mosque in the neighborhood.

The combat team fighters of the Infantry School Brigade destroyed military targets of the terrorist organization Hamas in the ‘Zitoon’ neighborhood, among them a post for the production of weapons of the terrorist organization GAP, where heavy and long-range rockets were found, a lathe used for terrorist purposes was found, tunnel shafts were destroyed , headquarters of the terrorist organization Hamas were captured, intelligence material used by the organization to learn about IDF soldiers was confiscated and additional buildings were attacked from which terrorists fired at IDF forces.

The commander of Division 36, Lt. Col. Dado Bar Kalifa said that “During the last days of the fighting of Division 36 in the Zeyton neighborhood, we constantly encountered an enemy hiding behind children and women and behind sensitive civilian infrastructure. The forces of the division, including Golani’s combat team, the combat team of the 188th Armored Brigade and the combat team of the Infantry School Brigade, operated within a complex war scene within the built-up area, exposed the terrorists hiding in the civilian space and eliminated many terrorists.

These achievements were made possible thanks to the close cooperation between the infantry, engineering and armor forces and the air force forces. We will not stop until we achieve all our goals, and we will continue to act to protect our home.’
