After causing a stir: Stefan Leger presents the new song

The singer and dancer Stephen Leger, 25 years old, drew harsh criticism yesterday (Monday) after he stunned the entertainment industry with an advertisement that left the impression that he is the father of a 7-year-old boy. In the gossip sections, the sensational news was quickly published, which included empathy for Leger as a “young bachelor” who became a father.

However, it later turned out that it was fake news that was apparently intended to promote his new song. When the truth was revealed, Leger “added sin to crime” and claimed with a flimsy excuse that his words were taken out of context and that he meant to be acting as a father figure to the boy, Chris, by virtue of his African cultural background.

And here, in the midst of the storm, Leger releases a new song with “kicking” lyrics that deals with his life's journey before and after becoming famous. The song, which Leger defines as “the most open, honest, exposed and sensitive”, is accompanied by an elaborate music video directed, edited and filmed by Dean Perlis.

The network was filled with condemnations for Lager's cynical use of the relationship with the boy to generate “buzz” around the new song. Many writers claimed that the singer adopted a typical Israeli attitude of “working with the eyes”, feigned innocence and uninhibited cynicism.

Leger later wrote that he understood “the big gap between Israeliness and Africanness” in him, and that his relationship with Chris originated in the culture of his origin. But the promotion of the new song at such a time raises the suspicion that his moves were mainly public relations.

Leger's provocative move revealed the sensitive controversy surrounding the limits of advertising and the use of personal connections for public relations and self-marketing needs.

Words – before, after

(before)
I would walk down the street without being yelled “Stefan, what are you doing there?”
(and after)
Flows with a lot of things even though it shouldn't flow with them
(before)
I would stand waiting for the bus, line 72
(and after)
With the Cadillac Vorum Vorum (over 200)
Everyone opens their eyes to me
(before)
A worried father asks, “When will you go to work?”
Dad presses “Tell me when you will bring me respect”
(and after)
I brought respect and with all respect there is a price when it comes, comes, comes
From a child selling sweets, how did I go from selling to a soul mate?

Angels and demons, from all sides
Bitch I'm sturdy
Nothing has changed here in my heart
Mask on me, this is how I live
Bitch I'm sturdy
Scratch the scratch even if it hurts

Before, I was just a kushi
Now I'm a nigga with Gucci
Step, check, flex, yah
Before, I was just a kushi
Now I'm a nigga with Gucci
Step, check, flex, yah

(before)
Before I would smile just for myself
(and after)
Today only the smile hides my feelings
(before)
She once wanted me for who I am
(and after)
And now I'm just looking to tag me
Sa La Vie
Since October I have been told to hide my identity
Fuck all the haters
Not forgetting who I am and where I grew up
So if you don't respect me get the fuck out of my seat

Angels and demons, from all sides
Bitch I'm sturdy
Nothing has changed here in my heart
Mask on me, this is how I live
Bitch I'm sturdy
Scratch the scratch even if it hurts

Before, I was just a kushi
Now I'm a nigga with Gucci
Step, check, flex, yah
Before, I was just a kushi
Now I'm a nigga with Gucci
Step, check, flex, yah

After that they don't understand why I'm angry 4X

Before, I was just a ****
Now I **** with Gucci
Step, check, flex, yah
Before, I was just a ****
Now I **** with Gucci
Step, check, flex, yah
