The Supervisor of Banks, Mr. Daniel Hachiashvili visited as part of the “Digital Fraud Awareness Week” at a meeting where a lecture was given on raising awareness of the phenomenon of financial fraud, together with the head of the Investigations Division of the Israel Police, Sub-Superintendent Shlomit Lands and the CEO of the Banks Association, Mr. Eitan Madmon.

The lecture was held in Mebasheret Zion, in the presence of the head of the local council, Mr. Yoram Shimon, as part of the “Digital Fraud Awareness Week” led by the Banking Supervision of the Bank of Israel, through the Association of Banks, the banking system and the credit card companies and with the cooperation of the Israel Police. This lecture is part of 100 lectures that are held on the subject, for the second year in a row, in dozens of places throughout the country, including two online lectures in Hebrew and Russian.

In the words of the Supervisor of Banks, Mr. Daniel Khahiashvili: “The Supervisor of Banks has defined the handling of the phenomenon of financial fraud as a strategic focus, which includes, among other things, demands from the banks and credit card companies to improve and perfect the detection, prevention and monitoring capabilities of these phenomena and to strengthen cooperation with relevant parties. “

“The supervision of the banks is increasing the information efforts on this issue with the aim of raising public awareness and providing knowledge and tools to conduct in a safer manner, when entering the bank account or the personal area of ​​the credit card company on the website or in the application,” he added.
