A 50-year-old man was mortally wounded in a shooting incident in Tel Aviv

A 50-year-old man was injured a short time ago (Friday) by a gunshot in a violent incident on Yehuda Haimit Street in Tel Aviv. MDA medics and paramedics gave him medical treatment and evacuated him to Wolfson Hospital in critical condition, while performing CPR with a penetrating injury. The MDA team treated another lightly injured person on the spot. Police forces who were called to the scene began investigating the circumstances.

The police stated that “a short time ago, a report was received about a shooting incident in the Jaffa area, police forces who arrived at the scene in a short time, identified a police officer (off duty) who was involved in a shooting incident, during which a 50-year-old man, a resident of Jaffa, was critically injured and was taken to the hospital for treatment medical. A preliminary investigation shows that the incident is due to a road use dispute. At the same time, the policeman was injured in his hand, apparently from a stabbing, and he is being referred for medical treatment.”
