Meet the people of 103fm's lunchtime band

About six months after 103fm's midday broadcasts were stopped due to the war, the radio will soon launch a new and upgraded channel: the program, under the name 'Shanim to Four', will be presented by Ron Shalom and Yoav Cohen. It will be based on sketches and pranks written by an experienced team of writers. It will also deal with the affairs of the day from a humorous angle, and will also include regular corners and games with listeners.

The program will put Ron Shalom in the foreground, aka 'Haron Haron', who together with Didi Harari broadcast their joint program for decades. The stand-up artist Yoav Cohen will perform alongside him. The editor and main writer will be Danny Karpel. The program, which will also be broadcast on Radio North 104.5fm, on Radio Kol Ekad and on Radio '101.5fm the station', will be broadcast on May 19.

Ron Shalom, 57 years old, is well known to listeners in the Gaza Strip as the mythological figure 'Haron Haron'. For decades, he presented and participated in the program 'Didi Local' in a variety of characters, voices and pranks, which became a cult, including 'Kika the middleman', 'Ami Maamol', 'Zohir Bilbul' and 'Saba Yehezkel'.

36-year-old Yoav Cohen is a comedian, stand-up artist and creator of content for social networks. Serves as a house artist at Camel Comedy Club and appears in Tel Aviv ensembles and TV series. He was a member of the group “Ashkenazim” and with them won the title of champion of Israel in improvisation. In the past, he was a journalist on the IDF radio stations.

The editor of the program and the main writer is Danny Karpel. 55-year-old Karpel, comedian, editor and director – has signed on to dozens of television projects and stage successes. Among other things, he wrote for 'Katser', 'Up to now' and 'Platfos', and in addition directed the play 'Forest Ghem', which is being performed together.

Itamar Druckman, CEO of 103fm: “On days like this, we hope that reality will also allow us to smile, and we are taking a first step in that direction. We are happy about the addition of our new afternoon team, and are sure that it will produce an up-to-date entertainment program, which will be able to talk (and make) our loyal listeners laugh.”
