Ofer Kassif once again appealed to the ombudsman demanding a guarantee of humanitarian aid to Gaza

MK Ofer Kasif (Hadash – Ta'al) appealed today (Wed) to the government's ombudsman, attorney Gali Beharev Miara, with a repeated demand to guarantee the free passage of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.
Since two months have passed since his previous appeal, and the issue was not addressed, MK Kasif returned and emphasized his demand that the Israeli authorities and the law enforcement system implement a clear enforcement policy of preventing and punishing vandalism out of the government's obligation to transfer aid.

In his letter, MK Kasif made it clear that because of this lack of support, the events of blocking the transfer of aid became more violent and more difficult in violation of the taxi law broadcast on social networks. According to him: “On May 13, a group of settlers in the coordination and organization of “Order 9” attacked a humanitarian aid convoy at the Tarkumiya crossing in the occupied West Bank. The rioters blocked the passage of the convoy, destroyed and looted the food and finally set fire to the trucks.'

Kasif further demanded to completely prevent in advance any disruption, planned blockade and infiltration of civilians into the territory of the Gaza Strip, as well as to order an investigation and punishment of the organizers of these illegal blockades, led by the “Order 9” organization and the “Jewish Truth” association.
