Three residents of East Jerusalem were arrested on suspicion of possessing illegal weapons

Yesterday (Tuesday) three residents of East Jerusalem were arrested by Shalem station policemen who are suspected of being involved in the possession of the weapons, cartridges and ammunition that were seized about a week ago in Beit Ba-Tor.
Policemen from the Shalem station in the Jerusalem district, together with the Jerusalem Police, were called about a week ago to the A-Tor neighborhood in East Jerusalem, following a report of a fight in the neighborhood.

The police and MGB fighters arrived at the scene together with MGB dogs and searched the house in the A-Tor neighborhood. During the search, the police seized: M16 weapons, a gun, cartridges and ammunition, placed in a bag. Following the disclosure of the weapons and ammunition seized by the police, a suspect in his 30s was arrested by the police. He was transferred to Shalem station for questioning on suspicion of illegally possessing them. His detention was extended in court.

The three suspects arrested by the police were taken to the Shalem station for questioning. Today, in a court hearing, their detention was extended until Sunday. The investigation continues with the aim of bringing them to justice.
The police of the Jerusalem district will constantly continue the determined and uncompromising fight against illegal weapons and means of warfare in Arab society, which are used for criminal or security activities.
