As part of the operational preparation of the Border Guard for the holiday of Shavuot and as part of the military operation under the command of the MGB commander, Brik Yitzhak was responsible for the concentration of the military effort to prevent the infiltration of illegal residents into the country's territories and the arrest of suspects who aided them.

In the activity of the forces in and around Jerusalem, 115 illegal residents and six suspects who drove them were caught this week. In one of the incidents, an illegal resident of the Gaza Strip was caught in East Jerusalem in the Silvan neighborhood, who was handed over to the police for further investigation.

This week, MGB fighters in the southern sector caught 63 illegal residents and up to nine suspects who employed and drove the suspects. In one of the incidents in the activity that took place near the Mitar crossing in the south, the suspects caught 23 illegal residents “red handed” when they tried to enter the country's territory and arrested them.

In another incident in the southern sector, the soldiers of the rural assault unit of the MGB South operated on Route 40 where they stopped a minibus for inspection containing six illegal residents, four of them from the Gaza Strip and two more from Judea and Samaria. The driver of the vehicle was arrested and taken along with the illegal residents for further investigation by the police.

In the northern sector, the center of the coast and along the seam route with Judea and Samaria, 32 illegal residents and six suspects who drove, housed and employed them were caught.

In an activity that took place in the central sector of the Lev Hasharon Regional Council during an incident in which the fighters seized a stolen motorcycle, the fighters noticed another suspect who, upon examination, turned out to be an illegal resident from Rafih in the Gaza Strip who disguised himself as an agricultural worker. The above was arrested for further investigation and later imprisoned in Hadrim prison.
