Half a ton of meat under a double wall was caught in an attempt to smuggle it into Israel

Yesterday (Monday) MGB fighters operating around Jerusalem together with IDF crossing fighters operated at the A-Zaim crossing which is around Jerusalem. The fighters stopped a vehicle with an apparently empty trailer for inspection that came from the Judea and Samaria territories, the driver raised the suspicion of the fighters who performed a strict and determined inspection during which they noticed a double wall at the bottom of the trailer.

Under the wall, about half a ton of meat was seized and kept under substandard conditions that the suspect tried to smuggle into Israeli territory. The suspect, a 24-year-old resident of Jerusalem, along with the findings, was transferred to the Ministry of Agriculture's Criminal Investigation Unit for further processing. The vehicle was confiscated and the suspect was fined.
