Indictment – a brother at the Bens Ziona Geriatric Center attacked an elderly nursing woman

The State Attorney's Office submitted to the court an indictment against Saleh Yajna (26), a brother at the Bens Ziona Geriatric Center for assaulting an elderly nursing woman under his care. The accused worked as a nurse in the ward at the “Golden Ker” geriatric center in the city of Nes Ziona, where a 77-year-old elderly woman was hospitalized in a nursing condition, suffering from chronic diseases and connected to a ventilator.

According to the indictment filed by Attorney Avital Fink from the Central District Attorney's Office, one day the defendant entered the elderly woman's room, attached a blower to her breathing tube as part of the treatment, and began to attack her. First he pushed the blower hard on her body, and even leaned on it while grabbing in the palm of the elderly woman's hand and turned her around. After that he threw the elderly woman's phone away from her reach. After that, the accused took a bottle of water that was near her bed, splashed it on her face and then threw it at her.

Later, the defendant spat on the elderly woman several times, splashed water on her body and face several more times, and put pressure on her body and face. He then left the elderly woman's room. For the aforementioned, Yajana is accused of a helpless attack by a person in charge.
