Two men were killed in a car accident between a truck and two vehicles at the Somech interchange

On Route 79 at the Somech interchange, a short time ago (Thursday) there was a traffic accident between a truck and two vehicles. MDA paramedics who were called to the scene found two 30-year-old men at the scene of the accident with no signs of life and had to pronounce them dead. In addition, they provided medical treatment and transported a 26-year-old man to the Rambam Hospital in Haifa in serious condition with multiple systemic injuries (all three were rescued from the vehicle that was trapped with its front part under the truck). In addition, the truck driver and the driver of another private car were evacuated from the scene in a minor condition.

Emergency medicine medic at MDA Gahad Khativ said: “This is a very serious car accident. A car with three passengers was trapped in its front part under the truck. The driver of the car and the passenger sitting next to him, men in their 30s, were unconscious, with very serious multi-system injuries. During complex rescue operations, we performed medical tests on them, but they were without signs of life and we had no choice but to determine their death. A passenger sitting in the back seat of that vehicle was rescued suffering from a severe multi-system injury, we gave him initial medical treatment in the field and he was taken to the hospital in an MDA intensive care vehicle in a serious and unstable condition. The truck driver and the driver of another private vehicle involved in the accident were evacuated from the scene to a hospital When their situation is easy.”

Police and traffic accident examiners of the North District are currently at the scene of the incident and have begun investigating the circumstances of the case.
