“The only political consideration was that of Eisenkot and Gantz who resigned because of polls”

The Likud party published a short time ago (Saturday) a statement in response to the criticism voiced by Gadi Eisenkot about the Prime Minister's conduct.

Likud: “In complete contrast to Eisenkot's claims, the prime minister was the one who pushed for action in Rafah even at the cost of a confrontation with the Americans. The prime minister makes decisions all the time, just not the decisions that Eisenkot and Gantz pushed for them, which meant surrendering to Hamas and leaving it intact.”

It also reads: “The Prime Minister's positions are derived solely from national security considerations, which the majority of the public supports and not from political pressure of one kind or another. The only political consideration was that of Eisenkot and Gantz who chose to withdraw from the war cabinet due to the crash in the polls.”
