The IDF spokesman this morning (Sunday) allowed the publication of the names of seven IDF martyrs whose families were notified, five who fell yesterday in the disaster in the Rafah area in an IED explosion in the NMR (engineering NMR) and two as a result of an IED exploding on a tank in the northern Gaza Strip .

The names of the dead who fell in the southern Gaza Strip, fighters in the 601st Battalion of the Iron Footprints (401) are: Sgt. Or Blomowitz, 20 years old, from Pardes Hana-Karkur and Sergeant Ez Yeshaya Grover, 20 years old, from Tal Menashe. Yesterday, the IDF released the name of 23-year-old Capt. Vossim Mahmoud from Beit Jan, deputy company commander in the 601st Engineering Battalion in the Iron Traces formation (401) who also fell in the disaster.

In addition, Capt. (res.) Eitan Koplowitz, 28, from Jerusalem, a combat officer in the 129th Hasan Battalion in the 8th Brigade, and Sergeant Major (res.) Ilon Weiss, 49, from Psagot, a fighter in the 129th Hasan Battalion in the 8th Brigade, were killed in the north of the Gaza Strip.

Last night, the IDF also released the name of 19-year-old Sergeant Yair Roitman from the Shomron Rays, a fighter in training in the Givati ​​Patrol who died of his wounds after being severely wounded on June 10, 2024 in a battle in the southern Gaza Strip.

In the incident in which Captain (res.) Eitan Koplowitz, late, and Sergeant Major (res.) Ilon Weiss, late fell, two soldiers from the 129th Hasan Battalion in the 8th Brigade were seriously injured. The soldiers were evacuated to receive medical treatment at a hospital and their families were informed.
