Last night (Tuesday), detectives from the Beit Shemesh station of the Jerusalem district arrived when a court order permits it, to search the possession of a suspect who is a resident of the city in his 20s. At first, the suspect refused to cooperate and open the door of the house, so the detectives broke in using the tools they had and immediately arrested him.

After the warrant was presented to the suspect, his apartment was searched, during which the detectives located a large amount of money totaling thousands of NIS and a box containing a substance suspected to be a drug in the kitchen of the house. Also, during the search of the bedroom, a cell phone was found hidden in a sock.

Following this, the detectives conducted a search of the warehouse regarding which the suspect initially tried to deny belonging, where additional substances suspected of being drugs were located. During the aforementioned search, hundreds of grams of a substance suspected to be cannabis were seized and, as mentioned, also a large amount of money that was allegedly obtained from drug trafficking offenses. The arrested suspect was taken to the police station in Beit Shemesh for questioning. This morning he was brought before a court that agreed to the police's request and extended his detention for 5 more days, until 14.7.
