The Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir, recently greeted the outgoing and incoming Jerusalem Police. “Congratulations to the outgoing Jerusalem Metropolitan Police Department Doron Turgeman. Today I thank him in my name and in the name of the citizens of the State of Israel for decades of giving for the sake of the country. I knew Doron as a young detective who worked for the fortification and status of Jerusalem, I followed him with admiration – I saw how he rose through the ranks,' said Ben Gvir.

“I was happy to be the minister in charge of the police, when Doron is from the Jerusalem Police Department. Today we say goodbye to him with great and immense love for him and his family. Congratulates the incoming commander of the Jerusalem district, Amir Arzani, who grew up in the Kurdish neighborhood. Arzani is an excellent officer who served in a number of core positions, including Harel, Shalom, and Lev HaBira, operations officer, operations officer in the Jerusalem district, operations officer and in his last position as Jerusalem police officer. Arzani is an excellent officer, and I am sure that during this period he will fulfill his role as acting district commander to the best of his ability,” he added.
