During a routine inspection and sampling of the marketing methods carried out by the food service at the Ministry of Health, a salmonella bacterium was found in the “Tahina Karvan Hachshara” product. The ministry's inspection also revealed that the milling products under the KARAWAN brand were brought into the State of Israel illegally, without the appropriate permits and were produced under unknown conditions.
