The recruitment orders will be issued in the coming weeks

Defense Minister Yoav Galant addressed the issue of recruiting the ultra-Orthodox a short time ago (Wednesday) in the Knesset plenum and said: “Our goal is to reach the recruitment of everyone who can be drafted according to the law. This is how we work. In the end, this process is a gradual process. It is not done 76 years. It has not been done by many of my predecessors, when it has not moved an inch in what needs to be done. The recruitment orders are on the way and will be issued during the next few weeks.

Regarding the achievements in the war and the electricity connection to Gaza, the Minister of Defense said: “The achievements of the IDF soldiers are many. We killed or wounded 60 percent of the Hamas terrorists. We disbanded the 24 battalions or the vast majority of them. We have returned half of the abductees and we are determined to return the rest. The security establishment is determined to achieve the goals of the war and complete them. In order for us to be able to do these things, it is appropriate that we also keep for ourselves the “enablers” on the battlefield.”

Gallant elaborated: “The international legitimacy that demands humanitarian conditions is a basic condition in order to allow the operation of an army. We need to maintain it in order to prevent a humanitarian crisis in Gaza, apart from the moral aspects of which we must carry out our tasks. The cabinet made a decision that the operations should be promoted Humanitarianism as an effort allows for the continuation of the war. As part of this, I approved, in consultation with the Prime Minister, the connection of electricity to the desalination plant, which allows water contamination, and as a result, the potential of an outbreak of disease, will endanger our forces, the execution of the missions and the abductees.”

The minister emphasized that “this power line is intended for the desalination facility and we can make sure that it is not used for anything other than water desalination.”
