A young man was adrift this evening (Wednesday) carrying a sea mattress to the depths of the Sea of Galilee, from Sycamore Beach and was rescued by the maritime police. The boy was then treated by the MDA team and is in good condition.
The Association of Kinneret Cities asks vacationers to take all precautions when entering the water:
• The use of flotation devices is dangerous. Do not go far into the deep sea under any circumstances, especially not in the afternoon, when winds and currents start in the lake.
• You must inform at least one person about entering the water, and be in eye contact with him.
• Of course, bathe only on declared beaches with rescue services, which are in direct contact with the maritime police and MDA, if necessary.
