The Shin Bet thwarted a terrorist cell that was activated from Lebanon and planned to carry out bomb attacks

In a joint operation by the Shin Bet and the IDF, in January, three GAP operatives were arrested from the village of Yavd in the Menashe Brigade, who were acting under the direction of the GAP headquarters in Lebanon with the aim of carrying out significant attacks using remotely operated explosive devices against IDF forces in the area. During their arrest, explosives were seized ready to use.

The three arrested activists are Ahmed Taleb Khaled Abu Bakar – 29 years old, a resident of Yabad, a senior GAP activist in the village. Ibrahim Abdel Rahim Jaber Abu Bakar – 29 years old, a resident of Yabad, a senior GAP activist in the village and Abada Mansour Muhammad Abu Bachar – 18 years old, a resident of Yavd.

In their investigation by the Shin Bet, it emerged that Ahmed and Ibrahim had a secret relationship with the GAP headquarters in Lebanon, in which the two received money, among other things through cryptographic currencies. In addition, the two conducted experiments in the production of significant explosives that could be activated remotely in order to use them against IDF forces. Abada's investigation by the Shin Bet revealed that he was recruited by Abraham into the squad and produced explosives under his direction.

Serious indictments were submitted to the military court in Samaria against the three. This investigation reveals the intentions of the GAP headquarters to promote terrorist attacks in the northern Samaria region through the recruitment and training of activists who are residents of IoS.
