Arrest and reports amounting to 1000 NIS

Last night (Matchash), as part of a protest that was approved by the police and held as a series, in accordance with the established conditions, thousands of protestors who demonstrated legitimately arrived at the compound allocated for the protest, when at the end of the protest most of the public left the place with the exception of a few dozen protesters who remained in front of Shaar Begin of the Kiriya.

At the same time, a number of protesters gathered and came down and blocked road 20 towards the north for a short time, while trying to block a traffic axis and prevent the freedom of movement of vehicles moving on the axis. Police forces cleared the protesters from the road.

The police said that during the disturbances, one violator was arrested and 16 reports totaling 1000 NIS were registered for obstructing traffic. All the roads were opened to traffic except for a section of Menachem Begin Street in front of the Kariya. The Israel Police considers the right to protest a cornerstone of a democratic country and allows protests as long as they are take place within the framework of the law, at the same time the police will not allow disturbances of any kind or damage to freedom of movement and any behavior that may endanger the safety of the public.”
