Police foiled an attempted stabbing attack in the Old City of Jerusalem

A short time ago (Sunday), police officers operating in the area of ​​the Old City of Jerusalem, at one of the entrance gates to the Temple Mount, noticed a young female suspect who aroused their suspicion with her hand under a head covering. The officers began questioning and examining the suspect, who refused to remove her hand from under the head covering.

At some point, after they started the suspect arrest procedure, the suspect pulled out a knife. The Jerusalem district policemen and MGB soldiers who were there took her by force, and took her for questioning in the David area. There are no casualties to our forces.

Additional police forces were called to the scene, and an investigation into the circumstances of the case began.
