This is how the Jerusalem district police thwarted an attack in the Old City

Today (Sunday) around 10:30, police officers from the David area in the Jerusalem district, together with the Jerusalem police officers who were operating in the area of the Old City at one of the entrance gates to the Temple Mount, noticed the terrorist, a 17-year-old resident of Issawiya, who aroused their suspicion, among other things, in view of her suspicious behavior as a hand is under her head covering.

Because of this, the police officers began to check the suspect and question her, when all the time she refused to take her hand out from under the head covering, and the suspicion against her grew stronger.

At some point during the check, the suspect pulled out a knife and held it in her hand. David area police officers and MGB soldiers operating at the scene carried out a suspicious arrest procedure, drew weapons at her and stomped on them. After a few seconds, they took her by force when she dropped the knife, and she was arrested.

Additional police forces under the command of the commander of the David area, Lieutenant Commander Avi Cohen, who praised the performance of the police officers and their vigilance, were quickly called to the scene, and the suspect who was arrested was transferred to the David area for questioning.
