Ukraine calls not to recognize Putin's election victory

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine today (Monday) called on countries in the West not to recognize the victory of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The Russian president is expected to be sworn in tomorrow for another term after winning the elections. In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, it was written that “Ukraine does not see a legal basis to recognize Putin as the elected and legitimate president of the Russian Federation.”
