Rabbi Reshef Kobi Tobol, the commander of the incident, said: “It is a large forest fire that broke out near Moshav Aviezer and threatened to endanger the settlement. We went to the incident with reinforced firefighting teams, we acted quickly and were able to stop the spread of the fire and gain control of the fire. Now the firefighting teams are carrying out a final extinguishment.”

Sub-Tafser Avi Harosh, Beit Shemesh Police Department, who investigated the incident, said: “From the findings and evidence collected in the field, it appears that the fire was caused as a result of working with a disk machine for cutting iron.”
