An official stamp dedicated to the ZAKA organization and its volunteers was issued

The stamp service of Israel Post, entrusted with the design and issuance of the official stamps of the State of Israel, issued last night (Tuesday) a stamp dedicated to the Zaka organization and its volunteers.

The subjects of the stamps that Israel Post issues each year are determined the year before the year of issue, but this year the Israeli government unusually approved the initiative of the Ministry of Communications to add to the list a series of additional stamps that will honor the heroes of October 7 and the 'Iron Swords' war.

The new stamp that was issued last night on May 7, 7 months since the war broke out, salutes the Zaka organization and its thousands of volunteers. and to respect every relic in order to preserve the dignity of the murdered and bring them to the grave of Israel.

The stamp was designed by David Ben Hador and on it is written: “Saving what is given, honoring what is left”.

The stamp has a face value of NIS 17.40 and is available for purchase on the website The postage service of Israel Post.

“ZAKA – Locating, Rescue and Rescue” is an Israeli volunteer organization whose goal is to preserve human dignity. Thousands of the organization's volunteers are a symbol and example of the noble idea called “kindness of truth”.

The organization was established 35 years ago during the severe attacks that occurred in the country. Since then, over 4,000 volunteers from all over the country have joined the organization. Over the years, and in accordance with the need that arose from the field, ZAKA expanded its activities to additional areas of aid for human dignity. Within the various units of the organization, its volunteers respond by locating missing persons and rescuing in emergency cases.

On October 7th, starting from the first hours of the war, when the extent of the horror became known, the ZAKA volunteers were called straight to the field. The “Iron Swords” war revealed the heroism of the ZAKA volunteers in its full force, as the organization's volunteers are an integral, chilling and historical part of the story and image of the State of Israel.

Issuing an official stamp of the State of Israel is a state, symbolic and festive event.
